Visa woes!!

If the Bush administration decides to cut down that extra 30000 Visa cap, we can all pray to the mighty lord, but where will the lord go?
Well, it might not be all those huge IT companies in India who might be worried about this. Visa Balaji will have the most reasons to worry about.
No, he is not a Visa agent loitering around suspiciously. Rather he's quite a respectable fellow, and well, happens to be sitting in a temple. You see, "Visa" Balaji is a diety.
Near Hyderabad is the Chilkoor Balaji temple.
You are taken in by a twister as soon as you (and when you manage) enter the temple. People running around the temple hurriedly.
You are supposed to go around it ("pradakshinam") a 108 times (A HUNDRED AND EIGHT) once you get that coveted seal on your passport.
I wonder how he (Balaji, of course) does it though. Does he go into the poor Visa officer's dream and show him the pictures of all those who have requested in his temple?

This is how the procedure is, for the un-initiated. You go to this temple, make 11 rounds, pray for something (with the eyes open), and if it comes true, come back and do 108 rounds. Simple and easy.

To equally share the responsibilites and the blame, Balaji has a deputed someone in Tamil Nadu too. Sort of a load-sharing arrangement or a fail-over mechanism. That is near Pullayarpatti I think.
No, I don't intend to make fun of these celestial bodies in any manner. Just wondering what all priorities we set in life and what all we pray for.

Those naked sadhus in the frozen caves in himalayas pray day and night for nirvana and moksha, and we here, pray for a Visa...hahaha...

Coming back to Chilkoor, I guess Balaji is praying to the senior Balaji up the hill to change Bush's mind...
